Meet your Photographer
Hi! I’m Cynthia Bullard, the owner and photographer at Cynthia Bullard Photography. I’m a Wife, Mom, New Grandma, Dog Mom, and Sports Mom!
Based in Ventura County, California, I’ve had the pleasure of helping families capture generational images for more than 30 years (I know, I don’t look that old right?!) I started in photography shortly after high school when I signed up for a black-and-white film class at Ventura College. As soon as I picked up my manual Pentax camera, loaded the film, and started taking images, I was hooked!
My love for photography began long before I ever picked up a camera. As a little girl, I would sit on the floor at my grandmother’s house, completely absorbed in albums filled with old photographs. Years later, my world changed forever when my mother was killed in a car accident at just 38 years old. I was only 14. In the quiet that followed, I realized how few photographs we had of my mother as an adult. That loss is what fuels my mission to ensure your family’s story is preserved in beautifully printed images—meant to be cherished, displayed, and lived with, not forgotten on a phone. Because one day, without warning, photographs stop being “just pictures”.
You will never truly know how important those photographs are until they are all you have left.

The Process
Step One: Pre-Session Consultation
Let’s connect via phone, virtually, or in person at the Studio for a complimentary consultation. We’ll dive deeper into your vision for your ideal session. This is a great opportunity to get all of your questions answered and to see if we are a good fit for each other.
Step Two: Rock your Session!
I’ll help you get comfortable in front of the camera while guiding you through a mix of candid and styled poses to bring out genuine smiles, laughter, and personality throughout your session, resulting in a rich collection of high-quality images created just for you.
Step Three: The Great Reveal
We’ll meet at the Studio within a couple of weeks for the great Reveal! You’ll be presented with a beautiful slideshow synchronized to music featuring your final images. We’ll select your favorite images and choose the best products to display them in your home.
Step Four: Delivery of your Images
The excitement continues when your final artwork is delivered, professionally finished, and gift-wrapped with care. Whether it’s a custom-designed album or beautifully wrapped canvas wall art, each piece is presented to be just as memorable as the session itself.
From the first connection to final delivery, my goal is to provide you with a fully guided, personal experience thoughtfully designed to feel easy, meaningful, and enjoyable from beginning to end.
